Intern, Events Communication

This undergraduate internship is a developmental assignment that provides you with real-time work projects, professional development experience, as well as an opportunity to learn about higher education and the inner workings of the association management industry.

The Events Communication Intern will gain hands-on experience assisting in the planning and execution of event communications, as well as event management.

A day in the life:

  • Assist and contribute to event activation (start to finish, and the details in-between)
  • Manage the event registration system and prepare reporting
  • Coordinate event program information and updates to the MCCA website
  • Produce news features, blog posts, and multimedia content for MCCA Today blog

Who we’re looking for:

  • Current undergraduate students with interest in Marketing/Advertising, Public Relations, Communications, Event Management, or a related field
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to apply creative thinking to campaign concepts and to solving problems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel)

This is a part-time, paid hourly position requiring 10-15 hours per week.
