MCCA’s annual Student Affairs Seminar provides college personnel with education and hands-on training on a range of topics including leadership, diversity, campus safety and personal growth. This year’s programming has been designed based on college feedback and industry trends.


8:50 A.M.  |  Welcome

9:00 A.M.–10:00 A.M.  |  Grit and Student Success

This session will explore contributing factors to student success and learning as it relates to value of grit. We will uncover the research, application, and relevant practice for student achievement utilizing a growth mindset. We will consider the ways grit contributes to student engagement, professional development, and retention.
