MCCA Advisory Board Call for Nominations

Are you ready to make a difference? If so, consider becoming a MCCA Advisory Board member. 

Purpose of the Advisory Board

The Advisory Board offers guidance and input on professional development programming offered by MCCA, to serve in a supporting role to the Presidents/Chancellors Council, and to bring representation from MCCA’s departments* together for conversation and discussion.

Composition of the Advisory Board

Three (3) elected officers, namely, the Chair, Chair-elect, and Vice Chair; the immediate Past Chair; three (3) representatives elected from the Administration Department; three (3) representa­tives elected from the Classified Staff Department; three (3) representatives elected from the Faculty Department; and (3) representatives elected from the Trustee Department, and one (1) representative elected from the Retired Department. Department membership shall be defined by each institution.

Qualifications of an Advisory Board member

  • Dues paying member in good standing of MCCA
  • Ability to meet (at least) quarterly at such time and place as determined by the Chair. Special meetings of the Advisory Board may be called by the Chair or a majority of the Advisory Board.

Nominations and Elections 

Prior to the annual meeting, MCCA will announce those positions up for election and provide a means for voting by the membership at large. Voting will remain open for least four weeks (September 3-30, 2019), at which time the Advisory Board will tally votes. Announcement of the election outcome will occur at MCCA’s Annual Convention and Tradeshow.

  • Administrative Professional, Executive Vice Chair (2019–2022)
  • Classified Staff, Vice Chair (2019–2022)
  • Faculty, Vice Chair (2019–2022)
  • Trustee, Vice Chair (2019–2022)
